The current version of the program is v_02. You can find this identifier at the end of the Python file name.

The main advantage of python scripting is an easy-to-use API that runs across multiple platforms. However, cross-platform functionality may cause some differences between macOS and Windows. The script file is shipped 'as is' as open source. You are free to modify it as you wish.

So, this program version has the ability:

1. Define the 8 initial parameters.
2. Select the room type from the list in the dialog window.
3. Select the grid surfaces in a loop.
4. Control door placement with control points.
5. Build the 3D walls.
6. Show the color zones.
7. Manage parent and child layers.
8. Define the floor number in layers.

To make a floor plan run a Rhino command ‘RunPythonScript’ in the Rhinos’ Command Line. The RunPythonScript command is used to execute script that were loaded into the Python engine. The RunScript dialog box will display a file finder. Select a Python file (LivingSpaceBlocksUI_v02.py) to run in Rhino. Simply select the python file and hit OK. The Python script will run.
