Professional quality, animated high resolution modern fountain for architects and advertisers.
A deliberately simple fountain shape designed to fit within a wide variety of settings.
Sometimes, you have an unusual landscape, such as a slope or terrain that is difficult to fill with a conventional object. This fountain can be placed within a hill area or multi-tiered landscape to fill the scene. (An example of a difficult landscape filled with this kind of fountain is shown in the last picture.) Other times, you may have special plant to which you wish to draw attention. The fountain’s front panel can show off a sculpted plant or it can be surrounded by medium-sized plants. In a third circumstance, you may have a building or small plaza scene with strong rectangular lines, and you need a fountain to complement those lines. This is the fountain for you.
The animated flowing water is in Alembic mesh file format. (Please be aware that this file is approximately 4 GB in file size. )The animation covers a little more than 10 seconds at 24 frames/second. In the video shown above, the animation is slowed a little bit so that the ripples in the flowing water can be seen more clearly.
Apologies for the poor quality of the video. I'm still trying to learn how this works.
This model/animation set is in .fbx and in Maya (.mb) file formats. The flowing water mesh is in Alembic (*.abc) file format. The Fountain structure (everything but the flowing water alembic mesh) is in one zip file, either the native Maya or the *.fbx file formats. The Alembic mesh is in its own zip file. You'll need to download the structure file zip of your choice, and then download the alembic mesh zip file. If you need the concrete fountain structure (pebbles, grass and all materials) in another file format, please send me a note. Also, please send me a not if you would like this animation and model set in USD file format.
In use, you would first download and unzip the zip file holding the concrete structure and materials that is most appropriate for your application and place the contents in an appropriate file folder. Secondly, download the Alembic mesh zip file and unpack its contents.
Third, import the geometry (the concrete fountain with its weathered bronze metal edges, the plants and the pebbles) into your application. Arrange and light these in your scene as desired. Apply the appropriate shaders (complete sets of materials are included), if they do not automatically appear. Next, import the alembic water mesh file, and apply an appropriate water shader to it. (The Maya version has pre-applied the Arnold Clear Water material to the water mesh.) Finally, execute the animation in your scene.
