The Palace of Fine Arts is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Mexico City. Construction began in the late 19th century and after many setbacks it was finally completed in 1934. It currently serves as a museum and the stage for notable music, dance and theatrical events.
I created this model using CyArk's photogrammetric 3D model as a guide. It was extremely helpful to get the correct dimensions and proportions.
My idea was to create a proper 3D model that can be used in game engines and other 3D software. I tried to recreate the most prominent details like the sculptures on the top and the front entrance, pillars, general shapes, ironwork and a couple of engravings. I left a few details out to keep the poly count manageable while staying faithful to the overall aesthetic of the Palace.
Textures: 4096x4096 / 2048x248, PNG format.Modular design. The model is broken up in parts for easy management.
I'm always available to offer support for this model.
