Imagine you're playing a PC game, the character says she needs your help, so you stand up and go inside the PC game to help, later you sit back down at your PC to continue the game until called upon again to enter.
One of the coolest parts is, when you're not playing Neon Light City, you can physically visit Neon Light City. Just enter the AR portal.

1). Enjoy music concerts.
2). Catch a real movie at the movie theatre.
3). Hang out at the strip club.
4). Take self-defense classes at the dojo.
5). Jump on the train to tour the city.
