Soldier ants protect the nest and are generally larger than other workers. This Soldier-ant model has pivots for all joints. Although it is not rigged, it can be posed. The individual segments of the limbs and antennae are linked to facilitate this. For instance, if a thigh is rotated then the rest of the leg moves with it. This ant is anatomically correct and is therefore suitable for close-up pictures. I used this ant for the cover pictures of my book 'Abatwa' (Books at Smashwords - https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/chas1951)
