Description

A caterpillar on a leaf implemented as a low-poly model.

The scene is rendered in Blender, AO is added in the composting channel (62.3 percent). All PBR materials are packed in the Blender project (same with FBX export). The model is fully rigged (with IK) and has various controls for the head, tail and all feet.

Controllers:

  • Head: controls the head rotation and moves the front body.
  • Tail: moves the rear body
  • Feet: for each foot one control to control the rotation

  • Diffuse
  • Roughness
  • Normal (OpenGL)
  • separate AO

Attention to FBX export:The caterpillar is not intended for a game engine and is not game ready in its current state, as no animations are included. With a little effort this can be done of course. But then better do it in Blender, because there are the controls for the rig included and the IK is ready to animate.

The Blender file contains the highpoly sculpt model.
