Suchomimus Mongolica - 8K animated JP3 Spinosaur

Suchomimus Mongolica - 8K animated JP3 Spinosaur 3D model

Description

The Spinosaur or Suchomimus are two of the most famous dinosaurs, two vicious fish-eaters that could attack us if hungry. This one is more a representation of Suchomimus with the look of the JP3 Spinosaur, because the real Spinosaurus was a marine river monster with very short legs. Probably, it was never a bipedal animal, even if it got out of the water. And so, I prefer to imagine that the JP3 Spinosaur is not a mistake, or a hybrid, but actually a bigger species of Suchomimus, with a bigger sail; and if you look to the Suchomimus skeleton, you will see that it looks much more like the movie spinosaur than the real spinosaur. The discovered Suchomimus Tenerensis was not fully grown, and experts say it could weigh up to 5 tons. This one could be a cousin of Suchomimus, and it really resembles the dinosaur from Jurassic Park.

FBX, ABC and OBJ format NOTES:

The OBJ format only has the meshes and mapping coordinates - applied maps will appear in place. It has no functioning rig, or animation or deformation.

The FBX format has meshes and mapping coordinates and all animation, but every frame is keyed and the rig is very limited - controllers lose their use, but bones can be rotated.

The ABC (alembic) format may be provided soon.

Maps for obj, fbx model are inside max folder.

FINAL NOTES:

Rendered and Mapped according to Default Scanline Renderer. For even greater realism and image motion improvement another Renderer can be used.

Map Values are set in place in 3ds max, but for other softwares it may be useful to know that, in max:

Body mesh subdivision should be 0 or 1, and is enough, or it will slow down the machine.

Other value adjustments in each map will depend on each software used, but I would recommend not to exagerate.

In 3ds max, the model opens with gamma 2.2, and the normal map should be opened or imported with override 1 option and not automatic.

In the color (diffuse) map I use no material blur.

Bump and normal maps do not need high value settings.

You can download or watch full animations.

Support is always available should you have any question or complaint.
