Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat V13

Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat V13 3D model

Description

The Grumman F-8F Bearcat was designed and developed during the later part of World War II. It was designed to replace the very successful F6F Hellcat also by Grumman then in service with the US Navy as a carrier based fighter. The Bearcat went into service after the end of World War II and served into the 1950s. It was successful as a piston engine fighter but became obsolete in the 1950s during the introduction of the jet fighters.
The model was built near to scale in real units and built based on drawings, photos, and other documents. This model has a moderately detailed cockpit and the following animateable features; ailerons, elevators, rudder, and wheels. These models render very well and look very realistic using good animation, lighting and rendering technique. It can be used in an animated or static position within a scene, animation or animated video, or possibly programming for a flight simulation application. The Radial engine was built with lots of detail and the cockpit is populated with a lot of detail also. The canopy opens and reveals the interior of the cockpit. This model was not designed for 3d printing. These are to be used as digital files only. If you purchase one for digital printing we do not guarantee that your print will be successful.Exporting of models is limited but good for several software applications. This model is fully textured with all materials UVW mapped and applied. Most materials are planar mapped and major materials include texturing. All textures and materials are included as shown. Objects are logically named for ease of scene management. No cleaning up necessary, just drop your models into the scene and start rendering. No special plug-ins are needed to open scene. In most cases the liveries are based on actual service liveries or paint schemes. Many of the units, airlines or countries who flew the plane are represented here.
