Detailed model of a WW1 era Sopwith Camel F.1 biplane.
Modelling and Rigging
The model consists of 19 separate objects (plus an additional 5 empties for rigging purposes) with a total of 17,480 vertices and 15,977 faces, not including the subdvision surface modifiers. Including the modifiers at the recommended levels (or in the .fbx version) there is a total of 261,808 vertices and 256,512 faces.
The model comes with rigged flight control surfaces - a single control adjusts the wing flaps while a second control adjusts the tail flaps and rudder (see the video preview for a demonstration). The propeller and wheels can also be animated easily.
Note: The rigged controls are only available in the native .blend format.
Materials and Textures
The model uses two PBR materials - one for the main fuselage and one for the smaller details - with an additional simple glass material for the cockpit windscreen.
The model is fully UV unwrapped with non-overlapping UVs and each PRB material comes with five 4k textures - colour, metallic, specular, roughness and normal.
Note: The pilot model that appears in some of the preview images is NOT included (it is a slightly recoloured version of this model https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/character/man/pilot-of-world-war-i ).
