The Nieuport 11 was a biplane designed and produced in 1916 and 1917. It had an air cooled rotary 7 cylinder engine driving a two blade fixed pitch wooden propeller. It was s good fighter plane when it came out but was obsolete fairly quickly as the advancements in military planes came fast during the war. It was flown by France and the first plane used by the United States Army Expeditionary Forces. It also was the first airplane in the military to carry and fire rockets at ground targets. 3 unguided rockets could be attached to the struts between each wing outboard and then fired at ground targets electrically.
The model was built near to scale in real units and built based on drawings, photos, and other documents. This model has a moderately detailed more modern cockpit and the following animateable features; propeller and rotating engine, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and wheels. These models render very well and look very realistic using good animation, lighting and rendering technique. It can be used in an animated or static position within a scene, animation or animated video, or possibly programming for a flight simulation application. This is a very high poly model. This model was not designed for 3d printing, these are to be used as digital files only. If you purchase one for digital printing we do not guarantee that your print will be successful.Exporting of models is limited but good for several software applications. This model is fully textured with all materials UVW mapped and applied. Most materials are planar mapped and major materials include texturing. All textures and materials are included as shown. Objects are logically named for ease of scene management. No cleaning up necessary, just drop your models into the scene and start rendering. No special plug-ins are needed to open scene. In most cases the liveries are based on actual service liveries or paint schemes. Many of the units, airlines or countries who flew the plane are represented here. Dreamscape Studios is a US 3d modeling firm specializing in building high definition, accurate, and detailed 3D models of commercial, civilian, and military airplanes, ships, buildings and other subjects.Dreamscape 3d models are built in ultra-low to ultra-high polygon count, (most often) near to scale and include a good amount of detail based on the resolution target. If you have a question, error or problem with the model, let us know and we will do our best to provide or get a solution for you. Be advised our models are not designed for 3d printing unless they are advertised for that purpose.
