Douglas DC-8-63 Swissair

Douglas DC-8-63 Swissair 3D model

Description

This model comes fully textured, with all materials and textures. The turbines, flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators and landing gear are animateable. Landing gear can also be hidden for gear up flight. It is built near to scale and available in several formats.

The Douglas DC-8 was a rival of the 707 series. It was developed at the same time and was very similar in design and capabilities. Being one of the first practical jet airliners capable of inter-continental range and a larger capacity, the DC-8was historic and popular with airlines. The first DC-8 flew in 1957. These aircraft had a good safety record and were used in main airline routes until late in the 1970s.
