The Comac ARJ-21-900 Xiangfeng is a multi-national design and manufacturing development with companies from 19 major European and US suppliers.
This model is built near to scale and fully textured, it has a lot of exterior detail and many animateable features including turbines, landing gear retraction, landing gear doors, inboard and outboard flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder. It includes files for download in a wide variety of formats.
General Electric provides the engines, Rockwell Collins provides the avionics package. The aircraft was a key part of China’s 10th five year plan and a development of the ACAC consortium. It is a regional airliner capable of seating 98 to 105 passengers and 2 cockpit crew.
If you noticed that this aircraft is much like the Boeing 717 and the ancestors of that aircraft including the DC-9 and MD80s, you would be right. There is a lot of configuration and general similarity with those aircraft. However there is a lot of differences when you get down to the details. The ARJ-21-900 is the larger of the two ARJ-21 aircraft family.
