Description
The Airbus A350 XWB is a family of long-range, wide-body jet airliners developed by Airbus. The first design of the A350 was propsed by Airbus in 2004 in response to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The prototype first flew on June 14th, 2013 from Toulouse, France. Type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) was obtained on Sepetember 2014, followed by certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) two months later. On Junuary 15th, 2015, the initial Airbus A350-900 entered services with launch customer Qatar Airways, followed by the Airbus A350-1000 on Febuary 24th, 2018 with the same airline. Qatar Airways is the current biggest operator of the aircraft.
