Description

The EPU or EMERGENCY POWER UNIT provides electrical and hydraulic power in the event of main engine generator or hydraulic pump failure or an engine-out condition. The unit is powered by main engine bleed air, or by the decomposition products of H-70 fuel (a hydrazine-water mixture), or a combination of both.

The main requirements for the EPU are that it should be simple, maintenance free, supply power immediately and consistently for the required time.

This gauge provides a feedback of the remaining EPU fuel remaining. It is located on the starboard (right side) Auxiliary panel.

The model was created in Blender 2.79 for the Cycles engine, the textures and materials are PBR based. The model has been rigged with a simple Empty for easy animation.
