Active Digital Drone Camouflage - Concept
-1 a top mounted camera, records the color of the sky.-2 a bottom mounted [or lowered when needed when hoovering for observing while camouflaged] laser projector, projects the live sky onto the bottom of the drone.-3 a ground based observer, will only ever see the sky, as if the entire drone or object, optically appeared to be fully translucent.

if you want to be funny, you could add a video layer of light, that depicts a portal opening and closing, projected onto the drone, but aparently or optically it will appear to be mid air.using the drone as a canvas to paint on.
