The roots of classic Riva yachts go back to the distant 1842, when the young Pietro Riva began to repair and build yachts on Lake Iseo in northern Italy. Soon Pietro himself began to build boats, then his son Ernesto Riva replaced him. With him, Reeve's boats were equipped with engines for the first time.
