Bactrian Gold is a collection of about 20,600 ornaments, found in burial mounds in Afghanistan. The rich jewelry and treasure belong to around the 1st century CE. This necklace is the 3D Model of one of the Necklaces belonging to the Bactrian Gold. According to my understanding, this is the 1st ever attempt to design the 3D Model of the original masterpiece of #Art. In this 3d model, all the individual pieces are separately designed and then combined together. There is still room for its 3D Model improvement. It consists of 5,913,594 polygons and 2.971,673 vertices. Its been designed primarily in Blender. The most important aspect of this Necklace is, that the geometry of individual pieces holds the necklace together around the thread/wire, without the need for secondary stitches or support. It's designed by Irma Gul to pay homage to the artistic level of its unknown real creator.
