Description

Military collection: Grenade egg Grenade fragmentation WW II Bomb

This model of an aerial bomb from World War 2 is about 450 mm high and has a diameter of 220 mm. The printing is not quite simple. Approximately 1 kilogram of filament is needed in original size. Ideally, one takes immediately PLA or PETG in olive green. This saves a spray can of varnish and a lot of work. I immediately printed the bolt and the locking ring in silver, but painting this is also no effort.

As a little gag I printed Royal Swiss Airforce into the fuze. The bomb can be opened, in it is space for a commercial bottle of liquor.

You need a printer with 350 mm X 350 mm and 400 mm print height for the original size. However, if you slice everything in the same proportion you can make it smaller or maybe even larger.

Grenades:

The casing of this hand grenade seems to be easy to draw. But it is not. On the contrary. To be able to draw these protrusions evenly on a body that is round in every direction requires some experience and a lot of time.

If you don't believe it, you can try your hand at it. You will very quickly want to go back to this finished model.

This grenade is very easy to print. It looks so real, Please never carry in public places. suitable as a film prop, for decoration, for role play, paintball, and everything that enables your imagination. The printing time is depending on slicing 16 to 30 hours for all 4 individual parts . The longer the more beautiful of course the finished product. The material consumption is an estimated 150 grams of PLA or PLA+ filament. Even if it doesn't look like it, printing the bow is the most difficult. In any case, the print speed must be set very low when slicing, then it can be printed without rim.
