Not a silly question at all. Some folks like to get their blades and other parts from an online vendor of lightsabers, like Saber forge, while some will use acrylic tube that they can diffuse in a DIY fashion. All in all, the hilts I model are just empty shells that have been designed to accept a 1" diameter blade, which is pretty common. I am happy to modify files to fit a specific blade, kit, or modification that a person wants to do though. Thanks for the question!
