Description

Animated VDB Rising Smoke

Note: I work with these vdb-files in Blender but you can import these at any other 3d software that allows to work with vdb's. The files are in the vdb-folder.

Realistic animated rising smoke VDB gives epic intros and cinematic scenes this small little detail of realism. The vdb simulation is ready for render and can be used easily in your 3D scenes and environments. Thanks to the vdb-format, you can drop one frame or the whole animation of the cloud formation with just few clicks in Blender. The following video was rendered in cycles but you can also rendering the vdb's in Eevee.

Rising Smoke Horizontal The 700 frames-long rising smoke vdb sequence has a Fade-In and Fade-Out animation and measures overall in the dimensions X: 31 m, Y: 255 m, Z: 31 m. It can be scaled up and down or can be changed in the density and color with the principled volume shader.

Rising Smoke Horizontal Small The smaller 500 frames-long rising smoke vdb sequence goes more upwards and is smaller in the horizontal direction. It measures in the dimensions X: 5,5 m, Y: 12,7 m, Z: 3,1 m. It can be scaled up and down or can be changed in the density and color with the principled volume shader.

Rising Smoke Billow The 610 frames-long cloud rising smoke vdb sequence has a round motion field and measures in the dimensions X: 11,9 m, Y: 14,3 m, Z: 23,1 m. It can be scaled up and down or can be changed in the density and color with the principled volume shader.
